The Little Baker (c. 1925)

October 4th, 2008 by Anne Richardson · No Comments · 1920's, Oregon animator, Oregon film, Oregon film new definition, Oregon film old definition

I have never seen The Little Baker, but it is not a lost film. It has been safely stored in the Oregon Historical Society film archives.

The Little Baker, an experimental short which used stop motion animation, was directed by Lew Cook, who began his career working for Jesse Sill, a Portland silent newsreel producer.

I hereby claim The Little Baker as an Oregon film on the basis of the location shooting (Lew Cook’s basement) and on the basis of the Oregon citizenship of Lew Cook.
