George Bruns, born in Sandy, Oregon in 1914, was a Portland jazz musician who eventually became the musical director of Disney (with Paul Smith and Ollie Wallace). He wrote a gazillion scores for Disney, including three nominated for Oscars: Sleeping Beauty (1959), Babes In Toyland (1961) and Sword in the Stone (1963).
