<p style="text-align: left;">Carl Fredricksen, the crotchety balloon powered traveler of <em>Up</em>, was voiced by Ed Asner, who sits on the board of directors of the Governors&#8217; Office of Television and Film, aka the <a href="http://oregonfilm.org/">Oregon Film Commission</a>. A recent part time Oregonian, Asner joins the list of Hollywood emigres who move here to get away from LA, but not necessarily to retire from their careers.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://talltalestruetales.wordpress.com/2008/11/07/walter-brennan/">Walter Brennan</a> and <a href="http://talltalestruetales.wordpress.com/2008/11/02/ginger-rogers/">Ginger Rogers</a> started the trend. Their moves to Oregon did nothing to stop, or even slow, their creative output as actors. Ed Asner and William Hurt continue it.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-2670" href="http://www.talltalestruetales.com/?attachment_id=2670"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-2670" title="Premiere+Disney+Pixar+Up+Arrivals+lUmfWDTVrX0l" src="http://talltalestruetales.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/premieredisneypixaruparrivalslumfwdtvrx0l.jpg?w=320" alt="" width="320" height="213" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I hereby claim <em>Up</em> as an Oregon film, on the basis of the Oregon citizenship of Ed Asner.</p>
