November 2nd, 2008 by Anne Richardson · No Comments · 1930's, Lost film, Oregon film, Oregon film old definition, Oregon location (primary)

Park Avenue Logger was about a young Easterner sent West by a his father, a wealthy man who fears his son has become too soft. Scenes were shot near Grants Pass. The star, George O’Brien, was a popular cowboy star in talkies, a romantic leading man in the silent era.

Ken Kesey told the Oregon version of this story 27 years later, in Sometimes A Great Notion.

Park Avenue Logger is a lost film. I have never seen it.
