To celebrate the West Coast premiere of Meek’s Cutoff at the Bend Film Festival, Bend Bulletin journalist John Gottberg Anderson pulled together everything he knew about Oregon film history and published it in one handy article.
Anderson’s list of Oregon films sticks strictly to the old definition, so all his Oregon films are ones shot in Oregon. My definition, aka the “new” definition, counts as Oregon films those which feature the contributions of Oregonian film artists. What I like about Anderson’s list is that he gets very specific about the shooting locations.
